To receive a refund in a verified track course, unenroll from the course within the refund eligibility period - 14 days after your purchase date or 14 days after your course starts, whichever comes later*.
Note: Refunds are not available after you have earned a certificate.
*(Up to a maximum of 180 days after your payment, due to credit card and PayPal processing limits.)
When you unenroll within the refund window funds are immediately sent back to the credit card or PayPal account you had paid with. Once processed the funds will post back to your payment account in about 5 to 10 days. (Depending on your credit card company's processes and location).
Program Bundled courses
For courses that were purchased in a program bundle, in addition to unenrolling for a refund, you have the option of changing to another session of the course, or leaving your session and waiting until a later session that works for you becomes available. For these courses, if the refund eligibility period has passed (meaning that you are not eligible for a refund), the unenroll option also becomes unavailable.
Courses purchased as part of a program bundle can be refunded up to 14 days after joining the course or up to 6 months after your payment (which ever comes first).
For Professional Education courses, you can contact edX support to request a refund up to 2 days after your course starts. To request a refund for a professional education course, use the Contact Us or Help options on edX.org or click Submit a Request below.
