How do I link or unlink my edX account to a social media account?

To log in to edX using a social media account, you first need to link that account in your edX Account Settings.

To link your social media account to your edX account

1. After logging in to edX, select the dropdown menu next to your username, then select Account.
   
2. On the Account Settings page, click Linked Accounts on the left hand menu or scroll down to Linked Accounts.
3. Select Sign in with Apple to link your Apple ID, Sign in with Facebook to link your Facebook account, Sign in with Google to link your Google account, or Sign in with Microsoft to link your Microsoft account. Microsoft linking is only available for Microsoft 365 accounts.

Note: After you link your accounts, whenever you sign in to your social media or other account, you also automatically sign in to your edX account.

To unlink your social media account from your edX account

To unlink your edX account from a social media account, select Unlink below that account name.

If there's an error message, try logging out of edX and logging back in again. If you check your Account Settings page after logging out and back in, it should show unlinked for you. If not, please contact Support.
