How do I change my name on my account?

To change the full name in your edX account:

1. At the top of any page, select the dropdown menu icon next to your username.
2. Select Account. You can also navigate directly here: https://courses.edx.org/account/settings
3. Next to the Full Name field click Edit, then make the changes you want to your full name.
4. When done, click save

Note: You can change your full name, but you cannot change your public username.

5. Upon updating your Full Name, you may see the following message and be asked to verify your identity:

6. Please click ‘Continue’ to move through the edX ID verification process. You can learn more about that process here. 
7. Once your ID verification photos are approved, your name change will be reflected on your Account page.
