You can add a recovery email address in your edX Account Settings:
This provides an additional location to receive a password reset in case you lose access to the email address originally connected to your account.
The recovery address can be any email that's not connected to an existing or previously deleted edX account.
After entering an address you'll find a confirmation pending message and should receive a confirmation email at the address listed. Click the link in the email to confirm.
If you don't receive the confirmation email:
- Check the spam folder at that email
- Make sure you have not previously used this email on edX.org. It's not possible to change an account email address to use an email connected to another edX account, or a previously deleted account. If you entered an email address that is already in use, the confirmation will not be sent.
- Try adding email@example.com to your contacts or your approved senders lists, go back to the Account Settings and add the address again to resend the confirmation
