What is the process for redeeming credits with TESU?
Once you purchase, complete and pass all MicroBachelors courses please carefully follow the directions on TESU’s site to redeem credits. Once you have completed the steps on TESU’s site you will need to share your learner record with TESU. Please follow these step by step directions on sharing your learner record.
How do I earn college credit?
You must purchase, complete and pass all courses in your MicroBachelors Program in order to be eligible to earn college credit.
Who is providing the credit?
If you are eligible to earn credit for a MicroBachelors Program your credit will be granted by Thomas Edison State University (TESU). TESU is an innovative public institution in New Jersey that is a founding partner of MicroBachelors programs.
Can I transfer these credits to other colleges/ universities (or my current one)?
You can redeem your credits with TESU and send an official TESU transcript to the institution of your choice for their review. This institution’s credit transfer policy will determine your ability to transfer the credits.
If I've verified and paid for the program and all the courses in it, is the college credit included?
Yes! If you purchased, completed and passed all of your courses in the MicroBachelors Program and choose to elect transferable credit with Thomas Edison State University this is at no additional cost.
What exactly am I getting from TESU?
If you are eligible and elect to earn credit from Thomas Edision State University your credit will be transcribed with a “CR” (Credit) letter grade on an official TESU transcript. To determine the number of credits your program is eligible for please refer back to your MicroBachelors Program.
What if I have questions about transferring other college credits to TESU?
When you fill out the application with TESU to earn your credits from your edX program at this time you can also apply to transfer other credits, certificates etc.
