Most courses that offer verified certificates offer Financial Assistance for learners who cannot afford the verified certificate fee. To find a course that interests you, see the edX course catalog. To apply for Financial Assistance, complete the financial assistance application. If a course is not eligible it may not appear as an option on the form after you have enrolled.
Most Programs offer Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is available for most MicroMasters, Professional Certificate, MicroBachelors, and XSeries Programs. However you will need to enroll as an audit learner in each course in the program individually and then complete the application. It is not possible to complete a financial assistance application for the entire program as a bundle. We recommend that you enroll and complete each course one by one.
Ineligible courses
It is not possible to apply for Financial Assistance for Professional Education courses, select MicroMasters™ program courses, and any courses that are not available in the free audit track.
If a course is not available in the audit track and thus ineligible, on the course introduction page the Price will not mention any FREE option.
