Why does my course navigation look different?

On Thursday April 27, 2017 we made changes to the course outline page in edX courses to give you a better at-a-glance view of the complete course outline.

Previously, when you were working in a course, you saw a condensed version of the course outline in the left area of a course content page. Now, you see a full width version of the course content and you can get to your course outline by clicking the *Outline* link in the breadcrumb links above the unit navigation bar. You can also click the *Course* tab to get back to the full course outline.

The course outline page is where you can see your course’s entire outline and access course bookmarks. This page also has quick ways to jump directly into the course content. To return to the subsection you last viewed in the course, you can click either "Resume Course" in the outline or the "Resume Course" button above the outline.

In the coming weeks we will also add your course progress and other useful tools to this course outline page.

Your feedback is important to us! If you have thoughts about the changes or have additional suggested improvements please let us know.
